Azerbaijan, Serbia eye signing memo in energy

Azerbaijan and Serbia have mulled plans to sign a new memorandum of mutual understanding and cooperation in energy.

Report informs, citing the press service of the Serbian Ministry of Mining Industry and Energy, that the discussions took place as part of the meeting between Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Zorana Mihajlovic and Azerbaijani Ambassador in Serbia Kamil Khasiyev.

The sides discussed the intensification of cooperation in the energy and mining industry and the opportunity to sign a new memo of mutual understanding and cooperation in energy.

"Serbia and Azerbaijan are two friendly countries. Our relations are based on strategic partnership. We want to improve the current cooperation further and cooperate in green energy and the oil and gas sphere. We need to develop the partnership in this sector," the ambassador said at the meeting.
