Azerbaijan seeks partnership with World Climate Foundation

The Founder and CEO of World Climate Foundation, Jens Nielsen, and the foundation’s representative, Ulviyya Jalilzada, met with Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Energy, Orkhan Zeynalov, Report informs.

During the meeting, Zeynalov discussed potential cooperation, highlighting that Azerbaijan plans to implement numerous green energy projects. He emphasized the ministry’s interest in collaborating with the World Climate Foundation:

"The Energy Ministry will implement several projects in the field of green energy, which has been on the agenda in recent times. We are very interested in collaborating with the World Climate Foundation, and if the foundation is positive about this idea, we can move forward together."

In particular, Jalilzada stated that during the meeting, Nielsen shared his insights on the wind energy projects planned for Azerbaijan: “He mentioned that the World Climate Foundation is ready to support wind energy projects in Azerbaijan after the significant COP29 event in Baku.”
