In January-May 2025, Azerbaijan imported more than 83,000 tons of RON92 gasoline worth nearly $64.4 million, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
Compared to the same period last year, the import of RON92 gasoline soared 8.5 times in quantity and 8.2 times in value.
During the specified period, Azerbaijan imported 64,834.47 tons (+ 6.6 times) of gasoline worth $42.522 million (+ 8.2 times) from Russia. Russia's share in Azerbaijan's import of RON92 gasoline was 78.1%.
In addition, 3,670.04 tons of gasoline worth $3 million were imported from Romania, and 14,496.86 tons worth $12.61 million from Belarus.
RON92 gasoline is produced in Azerbaijan at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery. In 2024, Azerbaijan did not export RON92 gasoline.
