Azerbaijan’s gas exports to Europe up by nearly 3%

In January-April 2024, 4.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas were exported from Azerbaijan to Europe, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Energy.

This is an increase of 0.3 billion cubic meters, or 7.7%, compared to the same period in 2023.

Meanwhile, Azerbaijan’s overall gas exports for the four months of 2024 amounted to 8.5 billion cubic meters, 2.7% more compared to the same period in 2023.

During this period, Azerbaijan sold 3.2 billion cubic meters of gas to Türkiye, and 1.1 billion cubic meters to Georgia. Gas exports to Türkiye decreased by 0.2 billion cubic meters, or 5.9%, while the volume of natural gas transported to Georgia remained the same compared to 2023.

In January-April 2024, about 1.8 billion cubic meters of gas were transported to Türkiye through the Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP), representing a decrease of 0.1 billion cubic meters, or 5.3%, compared to the indicator of 2023.
