Azerbaijan, Romania could ink another MoU in energy sector

The issue of signing a Memorandum of Understanding for the purpose of expanding long-term cooperative relations between the energy regulatory bodies of Azerbaijan and Romania was discussed, Report informs, referring to the Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) under the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) hosted a meeting with Mr. George-Sergiu Niculescu, President of the Romanian Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE), who visited Azerbaijan for the 8th Meeting of the Joint Commission on Trade-Economic Relations and Scientific-Technical Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of Romania, held in Baku on April 1, 2024.

Rovshan Ismayilov, Deputy Chairman of the AERA Board, welcomed the guest and talked about the existing cooperative relations between the two regulatory bodies.

ANRE President George-Sergiu Niculescu in his turn expressed gratitude for the warm welcome.

It is worth noting that AERA and ANRE have enjoyed cooperative relations since 2018.
