Baku. 22 January. REPORT.AZ/ The production in the sector of electric power, gas and steam production, distribution and supply amounted to AZN 1,954,100,000 in 2018, up 70% from 2017, Report informs citing the State Statistical Committee.
Production in water supply, waste treatment and processing sector has risen by 3.7% settling at AZN 313.8 million.
In the reporting period, Azerbaijan produced 23,243,700,000 kWh of electric power, up 2.6% in comparison to a year earlier.
Of this, 1,737.6 kWh was produced at hydro power stations, up 1.2% by contrast to a year ago.
Heating power stations produced 20,534.5 kWh of energy, which is 3.1% more than 2017.
Wind power production quintupled to 57.5 kWh, while solar power production dropped by 4.3% to 38.3 kWh.
