The production in the sector of electric power, gas and steam production, distribution, and supply amounted to AZN 1,783.7 million in January-September 2021, up 5.6% from a year earlier, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
The production in the water supply, waste treatment, and processing sector has risen by 12.9%, settling at AZN 322.7 million.
Azerbaijan produced 19,329.2 million kWh of electric power in the reporting period, up 7% from the previous year.
Of this, 997 million kWh was produced at hydropower plants, 14% higher than a year ago.
Heating power stations produced 17,629.8 million kWh of energy, 7% more than in 2020.
Wind power production fell 10.2% to 65.7 million kWh, and solar power production went up by 15.9% to 42.9 million kWh.
