Azerbaijan, Italy mull increasing gas supplies via TAP

Azerbaijan has invested $1.7 billion in Italy, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told a press conference following a meeting with Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio, Report informs.

The Foreign Minister noted that Azerbaijan and Italy are strengthening economic cooperation. Trade turnover in 2021 amounted to about $10 billion.

In 2021, Azerbaijan supplied about 7 billion cubic meters of gas to Italy through the Trans-Adriatic Gas Pipeline (TAP).

During today's meeting between the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Italy, the issue of increasing gas supplies from Azerbaijan through the Trans-Adriatic Gas Pipeline (TAP) was also discussed.

In addition, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister informed his Italian counterpart about projects in the field of alternative energy, which will be implemented in the liberated territories.
