Azerbaijan and Italy have discussed issues related to energy security and investment projects.
According to SOCAR, cited by Report, the discussions took place during a meeting between SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and Giulio Tremonti, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs and European Union Affairs Committee of the Italian Chamber of Deputies.
The parties highlighted the dynamic development of the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Italy in the energy sector, as well as the expansion of long-term cooperation into new areas.
Particular attention was paid to SOCAR's acquisition of shares in Italiana Petroli from API Holding. It was emphasized that this step would contribute to the further development and strengthening of bilateral relations.
The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
