Azerbaijan increases oil exports by nearly 9%

In the first half of 2025, Azerbaijan exported 12.05 million tons of crude oil and petroleum products derived from bituminous rocks, valued at $6.41 billion, according to customs declarations, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.

Compared to the same period last year, the volume of exported crude oil increased by 8.5%, while its value decreased by 8.6%.

In six months, the share of crude oil and petroleum products obtained from bituminous rocks in Azerbaijan's total exports was 49.8%.

In January-June of this year, Azerbaijan conducted trade operations worth $24.4 billion with other countries. Of the foreign trade turnover, exports accounted for $12.88 billion and imports were responsible for $11.52 billion. Over the past year, exports decreased by 0.2%, while imports increased by 29.9%.
