From January through August 2021, Azerbaijan produced oil products worth 2.881 billion manats ($1.69 billion), Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
According to the committee, this figure is 8.7% higher than in the same period last year.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan produced 804,300 tons of gasoline, 1.679 million tons of diesel fuel, 35,700 tons of lubricants, 237,200 tons of petroleum bitumen.
Over the past year, gasoline production decreased by 2.5%, and diesel fuel production increased by 12.5%. Lubricating oil and petroleum bitumen production went up by 66.8% and 7.4%, respectively.
Besides, 279,700 tons of gasoline, 336,000 tons of kerosene, 31,100 tons of fuel oil, and 176,100 tons of petroleum coke were produced in the country during the first eight months of 2021.
Production of gasoline for use in the petrochemical industry and petroleum coke increased by 72.8% and 21.3%, respectively. Meanwhile, kerosene and fuel oil production went down by 0.2% and 26.3%, respectively.
