In January-March 2025, Azerbaijan transported about 1.4 billion cubic meters of gas through the Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP), 0.1 billion cubic meters or 7.7% more year-on-year, Report informs, citing the country's Energy Ministry.
In total, gas sales from Azerbaijan abroad in the first quarter of the current year amounted to 6 billion cubic meters, which is 0.4 billion cubic meters or 6.25% less than in the same quarter of the previous year.
At the same time, in January-March 2025, Azerbaijan exported 3 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Europe, which is 0.2 billion cubic meters or 6.25% less than in the first quarter of 2024.
During this period, 2.3 billion cubic meters of gas were sold from Azerbaijan to Türkiye and 0.7 billion cubic meters to Georgia. Gas exports to Türkiye remained the same year-on-year, while gas exports to Georgia decreased by 0.2 billion cubic meters or 22.2%.
