In 2021, Azerbaijan sold 18.9 billion cubic meters of gas abroad, Report informs, referring to the Energy Ministry’s report on the results of the work done for 2021.
This is 39.8% more than in 2020.
Thus, 8.5 billion cubic meters of gas were supplied to Turkey during 2021, which is 23.5% less than a year earlier.
Over the past year, Azerbaijan transported 5.6 billion cubic meters of gas through the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP), which is 20.1% more than in 2020.
During the year, 8.2 billion cubic meters of gas were exported to Europe. Also, 2.2 billion cubic meters of gas were delivered to Georgia, which is 3.9% less than in 2020.
In addition, 0.1 billion cubic meters of gas were pumped into the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline system for technological use, which is 6.6% less than in the same period of 2020.
