Azerbaijan, IFC mull climate finance commitments at COP29

Azerbaijan has discussed climate finance goals and overall commitments with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) within the framework of the COP29 climate conference, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Economy.

The discussions took place during a meeting between Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov and IFC Global Director for Climate Business Jamie Fergusson.

The meeting was held in the format of a videoconference.

The videoconference addressed issues related to COP29 in Azerbaijan, the green transition, and entrepreneurship development. The parties explored the goals set under COP29, common commitments on climate finance, and other potential areas of cooperation.
