Azerbaijan discusses construction of energy storage systems with Masdar

Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates’ Masdar company have exchanged views on the future construction of energy storage systems, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency under the Ministry of Energy.

The discussions took place during a meeting between the Agency’s Director, Javid Abdullayev, and the delegation led by Masdar’s Chief Operating Officer, Abdulaziz Alobaidli.

During the meeting, they discussed the implementation of green energy projects by Masdar, which will have a total capacity of 1,000 MW.

These projects include a 445 MW solar power plant in Bilasuvar district, a 315 MW solar power plant in Banka settlement of Neftchala district, and a 240 MW wind power plant in Absheron-Garadagh district.
