Azerbaijan exported a staggering 1,018,685,080 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity, based on customs declarations, from January through August 2024, Report informs, citing the country's State Customs Committee, .
The total value of the exported electricity amounted to $57,499,170.
Compared to the same period in 2023, the volume of exported electricity decreased by 64%, while the value dropped by 82%. Electricity exports accounted for 3.13% of Azerbaijan's total non-oil exports during this period.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan conducted trade transactions with foreign countries worth just over $30.995 billion. Of that, $18.232 billion accounted for exports and just over $12.764 billion fell to imports.
