Azerbaijan attends international event for development of green technologies

The International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects, together with the Association of Environmental Organizations of Kazakhstan, has organized a conference on climate change and the transition to a green economy, Report informs referring to foreign media.

The conference was attended by over 95 experts from Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, India, Iraq, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Thailand, Turkey and the member states of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA).

During the conference, participants discussed the application of green technologies and renewable energy sources in the CICA member states, the potential of CICA to implement the decisions taken at the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26), and the fight against climate change and its consequences.

Participants emphasized the need to combine efforts to combat climate change in order to generate green finance and channel the flow to implementation of green technologies.
