AzarEnergy: Largest substation built in Karabakh and East Zangazur will be handed over in May

The work at the 330-kilovolt Jabrayil energy junction, the foundation of which was laid with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva within the Azerbaijan-Türkiye-Europe interstate energy project, entered the final phase, said Teymur Abdullayev, head of AzerEnergy's public relations department, Report informs.

According to him, despite just nine months passed, earthworks, installation works, and canals for underground communications have been completed to a large extent by AzerEnergy at the 330-kilovolt Jabrayil substation, the largest in the Karabakh and East Zangazur regions. 330 and 110 kilovolt open switchgear, and a modern control center were built: "Thus, over 80% of the work has been completed. The works are expected to be completed by May."

Abdullayev said that the major part of the construction of a double-circuit 330-kilovolt transmission line at a distance of 132 km from the Agjabadi substation to Jabrayil had been completed: "At the same time, the complete reconstruction of the 330-kilovolt Agjabadi substation, which is one of the main substations that will feed the Jabrayil Energy Junction, has been started and works are about to finish here.

"Also, laying a 110-kilovolt transmission line between the 330-kilovolt Jabrayil Junction Substation and the 110-kilovolt Gubadli substation to feed the 110-kilovolt substations built by AzerEnergy in the liberated territories from an additional source is also being finalized."
