The decarbonization problem is also related to the lack of standardization, said Ayan Najaf, a member of the Coordinating Council of the COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company, Report informs.
Ayan Najaf made this statement during the opening of the Green Zone event, part of COP29 in Baku. The event kicked off today and will last until November 22.
Ayan Najaf emphasized that decarbonization and the management of carbon markets are critical issues for the entire world. "Carbon markets, related regulations, and other matters will be among the main topics of discussion at the Climate Action Summit, held within the framework of COP29," she added.
The problems of decarbonization and carbon market management are also related to the lack of standardization and regulation in the market, Najaf noted. However, she remained optimistic, stating, "We have no right to be pessimistic because we have major partners supporting us in coming together to find solutions. We are striving to overcome these problems.”
