A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency (AREA) under the Energy Ministry and the SmartNation Human Development Platform within the framework of the Green World Solidarity Year, Report informs, citing AREA.
The document was signed by AREA director Javid Abdullayev and Shabnam Mammadova, founder of the SmartNation platform, member of the COP29 Organizing Committee,
According to the document, joint cooperation and action will be carried out regarding climate change and green growth, raising awareness and environmental health within Green World Solidarity Year.
The Memorandum of Cooperation includes support measures to promote the creation of local green technologies, products and services and the expansion of the application of green technologies for this purpose. It is planned to implement the measures with the principles of joint cooperation and dialogue of public-private, scientific-research institutions.
