Azerbaijan and Slovakia discuss the practical aspects of gas supply and transportation through suitable gas systems, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Economy Anar Akhundov said at the Azerbaijan-Slovakia Business Forum held in Baku, Report informs.
The deputy minister highlighted the importance of Slovakia’s involvement in the Solidarity Ring (STRING) gas corridor project for strengthening energy relations between Baku and Bratislava:
“Our collaboration within this project advanced to a new level following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between SOCAR and the distribution system operators of Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, and Slovakia in Sofia in 2023. We are now focusing on the practical aspects of gas supply and transportation using the appropriate systems.”
