Coronavirus infection has been registered among students in 14 groups of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (ASPU) since September 29, Report informs.
These groups were transferred to online education for 14 days.
ASPU spokesman Javid Huseynov confirmed the fact to Report.
According to him, the last day of contact was determined by the university polyclinic and the city epidemiological center, and the groups switched to distance education for 14 days.
At the end of 14 days, the infected students retake the test and return to class if negative. Infected students from two groups have already completed this period and returned to traditional education. None of the infected students' condition is severe.
After restoring the traditional offline form of education, three students studying at the Baku Engineering University (BEU) were diagnosed with COVID. In response to Report's inquiry, BEU stated that the students were immediately taken under quarantine, redirected to the relevant medical centers, and tests were taken.
Infection was detected in all three students, and they were freed from offline classes for 14 days. Currently, groups of students diagnosed with coronavirus are being monitored, and no additional cases have been reported.
Due to infection cases, several groups have switched to distance education at Baku State University, Azerbaijan Medical University, Azerbaijan Technical University.
