Students from OIC and NAM countries to study in Azerbaijan

The International Education Grant named after Heydar Aliyev will greatly contribute to the promotion of the country's international educational opportunities, Director of the Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA), Elmaddin Mehdiyev, said at the "International Education Opportunities in Azerbaijan" Forum.

He noted that Azerbaijan has become a donor country: "So far, about 140 countries have received aid from Azerbaijan. This aid has made significant contributions to the fight against humanitarian crises. Azerbaijan has provided aid to 43 out of 46 least developed countries and 53 out of 54 African countries."

Mehdiyev noted that it is planned to admit 100 students from member states of organizations such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Non-Aligned Movement to Azerbaijani universities for a period of 5 years.
