Shusha to host first international children's dance festival

International children's dance festival called "Heydar Aliyev - the great herald of the unity of the Turkic world" will be held on June 1, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Science and Education.

The festival between children's dance groups from Turkic-speaking countries will take place in Shusha under the organization of the Ministry of Science and Education.

The purpose of the festival is to inform children and young people about the work done by the world-famous politician Heydar Aliyev concerning the Turkic world, introduce Azerbaijan to the young generation of Turkic-speaking countries, familiarize children with each other's national traditions, create conditions for them to properly represent the history and culture of their country, as well as introduce the participants to the fascinating beauty of the city of Shusha.

About 150 schoolchildren will perform on stage with various dance numbers, well-known cultural and artistic figures, children of martyrs, and about 300 schoolchildren will participate as spectators.

Within the framework of the project, festival participants will take part in excursions organized in Baku and Shusha on May 28 - June 3 and will get to know the rich nature, historical-architectural monuments, and construction works of Azerbaijan.
