School built by Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Salyan’s Shorsulu village put into operation

A secondary school for 300 students, built by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, was put into operation in the Shorsulu village of the Salyan district, Report informs.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the officials of the Foundation, Ministry of Science and Education, the Salyan District Executive Power, public representatives, teachers, pupils, and parents.

It was reported that since the secondary school named after N. Ibrahimov, built in 1926, became unusable, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation undertook the construction of the new school. On the initiative of the Foundation, the construction of a new two-storey school building was started last November.

Necessary conditions have been created for students at the school. The educational institution, which consists of three buildings, has 13 classrooms, physics, chemistry, and biology laboratories, informatics, military training, labor training rooms for girls and boys, a library, a canteen, dance and gymnasiums, and an outdoor sports field. Landscaping and greening work have been done in the school area.

On the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, about 15 new school buildings have been built or overhauled in the Salyan district in recent years. The Foundation has built new school buildings in the Arabgardashbeyli, Gizilaghac, Ashaghi Kurkand, and Karabakhli villages in the last three years.
