Baku. 17 October. REPORT.AZ/ Rector of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) Elmar Gasimov met with the first-year students awarded Presidential scholarship in 2018. Twenty-six BHOS undergraduates became Presidential Scholars, and this is a record among national universities this year, Report informs citing the press service of the Higher School.
Elmar Gasimov expressed his pleasure to meet the students and extended his congratulations to them. He emphasized that being awarded Presidential scholarship is a big honor and success for the 17-year young people and they can be proud of this achievement. “You shall prove that you truly deserve this title, and the Higher School will provide you with all necessary support to help you become successful and competent students,” said the rector.
Out of 26 Presidential Scholars, 13 people study Information Security and another 13 undergraduates study Process Automation Engineering. Thirteen students earned 700 points and the same number of students earned 695 points at the entrance exams to national higher educational institutions for 2018/2019 academic year. There are six girls and twenty young persons among the Presidential Scholarship holders at BHOS.
