Reason for refusal to recognize some foreign diplomas revealed

There were two reasons for the refusal in recognition of foreign diplomas, Eldar Orujov, Chairman of the Board of the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, said at a briefing, Report informs.

According to him, the rejection is due to a lack of border crossing and basic language skills: "A person studying abroad does not have enough period of travel to and from that country. Another critical issue is the language skills of the land of study. A student who has been studying full-time for 4-5 years is interviewed for the language skills of that country. This only applies to those in the CIS and Georgia. Because according to actual statistics, those who study in other countries have the knowledge of the language of that state. Unfortunately, most students in the CIS and Georgia do not even have a basic understanding of the language."

Orujov said that Georgia, Russia, and Ukraine are preferred for studying abroad in Azerbaijan. However, interest in learning in Western, Central Asian, and Eastern countries has also increased in recent years.
