Baroness Nicholson: New British Council program will help establish links between Azerbaijani and British universities

“The new education programme of British Council will make Azerbaijan's education system stronger and help young Azerbaijanis find work on the international labour market," UK Prime Minister's Trade Envoy to Azerbaijan  Baroness Emma Nicholson said.

Report informs that Nicholson spoke at the forum on the occasion of the launch of the Higher Education for Employability programme.

"I believe that the programme, which is expected to assist Azerbaijani students in finding job will mark the beginning of strategic partnership in this direction," the Baroness said.

According to her, the UK is ready to share experience and practice for career growth and protection of work with Azerbaijan.

"The program will help to make the education system in the republic stronger, to establish relations between universities in the UK and Azerbaijan, to find work for young Azerbaijanis in the international labor market, which will be the key to the development of the country. This is a great opportunity for young people," Nicholson said.

Notably, British Council is holding such a forum for the first time, the event will bring together politicians, graduates and researchers from Azerbaijan and the UK.

This strategic forum is a new program of the British Council in the field of employment, implemented in Azerbaijan. The purpose of the forum is to develop the skills of graduates of higher education institutions for their employment, as well as to stimulate their work at the local and global levels.
