Minister: Education will be developed thanks to STEM program jointly implemented with Israel

The education system of Azerbaijan will be significantly developed thanks to the STEM program implemented jointly with Israel, Education Minister of Azerbaijan Emin Amrullayev said at the Azerbaijan-Israeli Innovation Forum on Agriculture and Education, Report informs.

The minister noted that Azerbaijan and Israel are cooperating in STEM, and many students are already studying under this program. Thanks to it, the educational program is mastered faster and better. Notably, in 2018, teachers from Azerbaijan were sent to Israel to learn new teaching skills under this program.

The minister noted that the involvement of innovations in education does not mean that one should forget about the traditional foundations of education.

"We see that over the past 30 years, even though trillions of dollars have been allocated to education, the quality of education has not improved in many developing countries," he said.

According to him, Azerbaijan still needs some investments in this area.
