The newly established Karabakh University in Khankandi will be opened in September next year, Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev told a briefing held on November 30, Report informs.
According to him, 1000 students are planned to study at the university.
He said that the visit of professors and teaching staff to Khankandi on the basis of intensive modules and the organization of online teaching are planned: “There is also a plan for permanent accommodation of 30–40 academic staff there. At the initial stage, some of the teachers will live in the nearby area.”
Amrullayev stressed that it will be possible for freshmen and students of SABAH groups to study there based on the entrance exams of the State Examination Center: “In addition, exchange programs or double degree programs will also be available. It is planned to have four faculties in the first stage. In the next stage, the number of specialty options will be increased.”
