Karabakh University to offer education in Azerbaijani and English languages

The newly established Karabakh University in the city of Khankandi has announced that it will offer education exclusively in the Azerbaijani and English languages.

According to Report, which cites the university representatives, students enrolled in English-language faculties will be given the opportunity to enhance their language skills during their first year of study. This approach aims to ensure that students are well-equipped to excel in their chosen fields of study.

The establishment of Karabakh University was officially decreed by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on November 28, 2023. The university, which operates under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Science and Education, has been created as a public legal entity to satisfy the demand for highly qualified specialists in the region and preserve the historical traditions of education on the basis of a university located in Khankandi.

Initially, Karabakh University will offer education across six faculties: Pedagogy, Humanities, Economics, Social Sciences, Art, Engineering, and Tourism. These faculties encompass a total of 27 specialties, with a projected enrollment of 1,120 students for the 2024/2025 academic year.
