Karabakh and Türkiye-Azerbaijan universities to start academic year a week later

The Karabakh University and the Türkiye-Azerbaijan University will begin their academic year one week later than scheduled, the Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, said in response to a question from Report's journalists.

The process of accommodating students of the Karabakh University in dormitories will commence on September 15-16.

As this is the inaugural academic year for the university, the first week will be dedicated to orientation, with classes officially starting on September 23. The Turkish-Azerbaijani University will follow a similar practice, the minister said.

After the commencement of the academic year, students of the Karabakh University are set to receive additional scholarships ranging from 100 to 150 manats. Minister Amrullayev also noted that several private companies have taken the initiative to provide extra scholarships to the students.
