Historical samples of Albanian period discovered in Jalilabad

9th-grade student Ilham Miralamov found an example of the historical and material culture of the Albanian period in the Shatirli village of the Jalilabad region.

According to the Mugan bureau of Report, the area where a historical specimen was found is an ancient Turkish settlement. "The find contained a sign of an Albanian cross dating back to 2000-2200 years ago. This form is the original form of the Albanian cross.

The historian stressed that this is an undeniable fact for the Armenian forgers who privatized the symbols of the cross in the territories of Western Azerbaijan. The found historical samples will be handed over to the Jalilabad Museum of History and Ethnography.

"Among the oldest symbols, the swastika and the cross ones are in the center of attention. Both symbols were found in the area of Jalilabad on pottery samples. The territory is an ancient settlement. There is enough material evidence," the historian added.
