"Deepest gratitude to the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, thanks to whom our school, which was damaged during the war, was repaired," the director of the secondary school named after academician Zarifa Aliyeva in Irpin, honored teacher of Ukraine Valentina Antonenko told reporters in Baku, Report informs.
"This is the third time that I am in Azerbaijan, which has become native to me. Our school has fraternized with a school in the village of Shahtatdy in Nakhchivan, which also bears the name of Zarifa Aliyeva," she said.
According to the director, a large-scale overhaul was carried out at the school named after academician Zarifa Aliyeva in Irpin in just a month and a half, and from September 2, the students sat down at school desks and lessons began.
Valentina Antonenko expressed her hope that relations between the educational institutions of Azerbaijan and Ukraine, in particular between the lyceum named after academician Zarifa Aliyeva in Baku and the school named after academician Zarifa Aliyeva in Irpin, will continue to develop in the future.
