Deputy Minister: 'We aim to increase the number of foreign students in Azerbaijan to 75,000 in 2026'

The goal is to increase the number of foreign students in Azerbaijan to 75,000 in 2026, Hasan Hasanli, Deputy Minister of Science and Education, told journalists, Report informs.

He noted that the number of foreign students is increasing in Azerbaijan: "Systematic work is required. If all the steps taken in this direction are unified, the result will be even more positive. Admission to higher education in the country has exceeded 60,000 people. We aim to increase this number to 75,000 people in 2026."

According to him, one of the steps contributing to the increase of foreign students in the country is the scholarships provided by private universities: "I think that such steps will be more effective for the future of our education if they are systematic."
