"We create opportunities for children to benefit from pre-school education in Azerbaijan and look for the best European models in this regard. Since our commitment is to provide the best education for children, " Head of the EU delegation in Azerbaijan Kestutis Jankauskas said.
Report informs that he spoke at the presentation of the project "Improvement of preschool and primary education through community groups."
According to him, the successful co-operation between the European Union and Azerbaijan is obvious and the problems are identified together: "We identify the most vulnerable groups. We address communities and parents, involve them to support our project. In just a year, we can say for sure that about 8,000 children will have access to pre-school education. They socialize like other children and prepare to get a better education at school. "
"This project is one of six projects implemented by the European Union in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. About 30% of the cooperation projects carried out with various organizations in Azerbaijan have to do with education. We believe that education is the most fundamental and important issue. Cooperation between European Union and Azerbaijan is a good pattern of cooperation," Kestutis Jankauskas added.
