'Caspian Orbit' project developed by Azerbaijani student presented in Moscow

During the meeting of the heads of government of the CIS countries in Moscow, the "Caspian Orbit" project was presented, with Vusal Maharramov, a student from Azerbaijan, being one of its developers.

According to Report's Russian bureau, two multinational finalist teams showcased their projects during the 3rd final stage of the strategic session for students and postgraduates from CIS countries, titled "University Without Borders: Ideas of Everyone - Future for All".

Among the developers of the "Caspian Orbit" project, which focuses on space monitoring technology and rational transboundary water use to address the Caspian Sea depletion issue, was Vusal Maharramov, a 4th-year Azerbajani student at the Russian University of Economics.

Azerbaijan's Prime Minister Ali Asadov, who participated in the meeting, thanked Maharramov for his work and wished him success in his studies.

In an interview with Report's correspondent, Vusal emphasized the project's relevance for the Caspian countries, including Azerbaijan. "The depletion of the Caspian Sea is a problem for all countries in the region and jeopardizes many projects implemented by the CIS states," he said.

Maharramov noted that during the work on the project, they managed to develop cooperation between universities.
