Baku hosts panel discussion ‘The path from research to development’

A panel discussion titled "The path from research to development" was held within the framework of the Education Development Forum organized in Baku.

Report informs that before the panel, Ihsan Sabuncuoglu, the rector of TED University in Türkiye, delivered a speech.

He stated that higher education institutions should meet modern requirements: "This applies to universities worldwide. Only in this way can we keep up with global development and become a sustainable part of the innovative ecosystem."

During the panel moderated by Fariz Jafarov, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli, BP's Vice President for the Caspian region, made a speech. He noted that various laboratories and research centers have been established in higher education institutions: "This envisages expanding the scale of infrastructure projects."

Within the framework of the panel, discussions were held on topics such as "Strategic collaborations to increase universities' positions in international rankings," "The importance of university-industry partnership in research and development," "Prospects for university-industry partnership," "Creation and support of innovation and research centers," and "Integration and commercialization of innovative research with industry."

The panel continued with a Q&A session.
