The XV Summer European Youth Olympic festival will be held in Baku on July 21-27.
Report informs that more than 800 students and teachers from 49 secondary schools are expected to participate in the festival within the framework of the Olympic Culture and Education Programme.
The selected schools will promote the culture, history, art and sports traditions of the countries, entrusted to them, on July 22-26. In this regard, 49 schools were selected from Baku. 48 of them will represent European countries, while one will represent Azerbaijan. A delegation from 50 European countries is expected to attend the XV European Youth Olympic Games.
The festival will host competitions in 10 sports: gymnastics, athletics, basketball, cycling, handball, judo, swimming, tennis, volleyball and wrestling. Our country will be represented by the capital's students in competitions.
