Azerbaijan's multiculturalism will be discussed at the UN Supreme Council, Report informs, citing the Press Service of Baku International Multicultural Center.
Within the framework of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, on September 21, 2022, a high-level event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Declaration on the Rights of Persons Belonging to National or Ethnic, Religious and Linguistic Minorities is planned to be held. The event will consist of opening, general debates and closing sessions.
Ravan Hasanov, executive director of the Baku International Multicultural Center, will make a speech at the prestigious event of the UN General Assembly. He will provide detailed information about the environment of tolerance that has been formed in Azerbaijan over centuries and continues today, the policy of multiculturalism, which is one of the main directions of the Azerbaijani state policy, the conditions created for the activities of national and religious groups, and the care provided to them by the state.
In various scientific circles of the world, in prestigious international organizations, the interest in the peaceful coexistence of different peoples and confessions in Azerbaijan, the study of Azerbaijani multiculturalism as an exemplary model, and the activities of the Baku International Center for Multiculturalism is increasing day by day.
