Azerbaijan may fully restore in-person education in coming weeks

"Since the beginning of the school year on September 22 in Azerbaijan, 62 schools have transferred to distance education. About 10 of them are currently in distance education, while most have returned to traditional education, Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev told journalists, Report informs.

According to him, if the situation continues like this, there will be no need for distance learning in the coming weeks: "The Ministry of Education and the relevant agencies regularly monitor the situation in schools and keep the issue under control. In recent weeks, there has been some stability in infections."

The Minister said that at present, fewer schools and classes are leading to distance education because the case number of is low: "But the pandemic is still going on. There are about 1,500-2,000 infections in the country every day. This is probably due to the vaccination process. In particular, we can maintain the continuity of education by vaccinating more than 90% of educators."
