Azerbaijan discusses new education agreement with Georgia

A delegation led by Kakha Khandolishvili, head of the Strategic Planning and International Relations Department of the Georgian Ministry of Education and Science, visited Azerbaijan, the local bureau of Report informs, citing the Georgian embassy in Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijani Deputy Education Minister Mukhtar Mammadov met with the delegation. The sides discussed a number of issues on cooperation between the ministries. The main focus was on the preparation of a new education agreement between Azerbaijan and Georgia.

The meeting also discussed the uninterrupted supply of textbooks to Georgian-language schools in Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani-language schools in Georgia, as well as the visit of Azerbaijani Education Minister Emin Amrullayev to Georgia.

Georgian ambassador to Azerbaijan Zurab Pataradze also attended the meeting.
