Azerbaijan and ICESCO mull cooperation in field of education

On October 4, the Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, met with the delegation led by the Director-General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), Salim bin Mohammed Almalik, Report informs.

During the meeting, the current situation and prospects of cooperation in the field of education between the Ministry of Science and Education and ICESCO were discussed.

Emin Amrullayev emphasized the importance of establishing student exchange programs within the framework of cooperation with ICESCO and pointed out that these programs have an important role in promoting the national and moral values of the member states.

In connection with the selection of Shusha as the "Cultural Capital of the Islamic World for 2024" by ICESCO, the issue of holding Olympiads and art festivals in this city for students was also discussed at the meeting.

At the same time, Emin Amrullayev talked about the transition process of Azerbaijan to STEAM-based education and emphasized that this experience can be shared with member states of the organization.
