"This event is the 6th Summit organized by the Turkic Council. It is a platform for cooperation between the Turkic states in the field of education. Azerbaijan is the first member state to teach Common Turkic History in secondary schools. At present, textbooks on common Turkiс geography and literature are being prepared in a similar form," Azerbaijani Education Minister Emin Amrullayev said at the 6th Summit of Education Ministers of the Turkic Council in Istanbul.
According to him, the strengthening of cooperation between the universities of the Turkic states was discussed: "At the same time, discussions were held on the exchange of professors and teachers, as well as students. I believe that there will be positive results. I think that the 6th Summit of the Ministers of Education of the Turkic Council is a big step towards strengthening cooperation in the field of education between Azerbaijan and Turkey, as well as other Turkic states."
The minister added that he had the opportunity to hold broad discussions with his colleagues during his visit to Turkey: "Strengthening cooperation means exchange programs, the steps to be taken related to the common history and geography, and collaboration."
