Ambassador of Japan attends opening of school in Azerbaijan's Astara

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Azerbaijan Wada Junichi has visited the Astara district of Azerbaijan.

According to Report's southern bureau, the ambassador attended the opening of an additional building constructed for the Degadi village secondary school under the Grass Roots and Human Security Grant Assistance Program of the Japanese government.

The main goal of the project is to solve the existing problem by building a new 6-room school building on the territory of the village school, where 144 students can study, and improve the learning conditions in this village.

The Ambassador of Japan noted that the new building of the school, put into operation in honor of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, is a symbol of friendship between the Azerbaijani and Japanese peoples.
