Singapore looks forward to implementing program to support developing countries in response to climate change

Singapore is looking forward to implementing a loss and damage compensation program that will provide support to developing countries in response to the climate crisis, Senior Minister of Singapore Teo Chee Hean said at the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) in Dubai.

According to Report, the minister said they also look forward to developing regional and international cooperation to address these issues, adding that close cooperation between countries is needed to find solutions to reduce emissions, such as carbon capture and storage.

According to Heen, a global problem like climate change requires a global response.

Strong partnerships between the public and private sectors will also be critical for success, Teo Chee Hean added.
