At least six rivers flow from Armenia into Azerbaijan, carrying risks of environmental pollution, Sabit Baghirov, a member of the NGO coalition Environmental Protection First, said at a briefing protesting the activities of the Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant.
According to Report, the expert emphasized that the danger of pollution is particularly high for the Aras River.
"We have already seen protests in Iranian media regarding this issue. In fact, the entire territory of Azerbaijan is at risk of pollution through the river systems," Sabit Baghirov stressed.
