Representatives of Russian peacekeepers demand from activists to leave area of military post, NGOs refuse to do so

A high-ranking representative of the Russian peacekeeping forces demanded that the Azerbaijani activists leave the territory of the post of the Russian peacepeekers, while the activists put forward a counter demand - the arrival of the contingent commander at the site, Report's correspondent informs from the scene on the road near the checkpoint, where a protest action of Azerbaijani NGOs is taking place this morning.

"According to a tripartite statement, I ask you to leave your post," said a Russian military man, a colonel, judging by his epaulettes, who appeared before the protesters without the name patch on his uniform.

In response, environmental NGO activists demanded that the commander of the Russian peacekeeping forces, Major General Andrey Volkov, come out to them.

Azerbaijani activists and members of environmental NGOs continue their protest on the section of the road near Shusha which is under the temporary control of Russian peacekeepers. They demand an end to environmental terror in the Karabakh economic region.
