The newly planted trees were served and watered.
More than 5,000 trees - mainly fruit, olives and almonds - were planted in the area of 5 hectares in the Mushfigabad settlement.
Notably, a tree-planting campaign has been launched in Azerbaijan today. A map of the areas where trees are to be planted has been prepared. The map covers all regions of Azerbaijan, including Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Most of the trees are planted along the highways. Mostly nectar trees that attract bees are planted. A total of 650,000 trees will be planted countrywide.
The goal of the tree-planting campaign is to promote internationally the poetry of the world-famous poet Imadaddin Nasimi, to perpetuate his memory, and to promote the Azerbaijani literature and cultural heritage.
