Rahmon: Dushanbe will continue efforts to develop cooperation in implementing global water agenda

Tajikistan will continue efforts to develop cooperation in the implementation of the global water and climate agenda, country's President Emomali Rahmon said during the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), according to Report.

"The total number of glaciers in Tajikistan amounting to 13,000 and being the source of 60% of water in Central Asia has decreased by more than a thousand over the past decades," he emphasized.

The leader of Tajikistan expressed confidence that the international community will also contribute to the timely implementation of other water-related goals and obligations.
